Series:Sumi-e Japanese Ink Painting - The Four Seasons

Enjoy a day of learning the ancient and revered Asian ink wash brush painting technique of Sumi-e!

Sumi-e is also known as “Suibokuga”, which translates as “water, ink, painting.” With black ink (sumi), students learn to create values by mixing the sumi with water. Students in each one-day workshop learn to paint two of the revered subjects of the four honorable gentlemen, known as the four seasons. Take one or both of these day long workshops and enjoy lots of demos and lots of fun!

Beginners welcome! No experience is necessary.
