Explore the universal language of food as you travel the world, recipe by recipe. Learn about popular influences on the cuisine of each continent, how and why certain foods and ingredients have made their way to different parts of the world, and what the cultural significance of each recipe is. Each day you will make delicious food from a new part of the world, exploring dishes and cooking methods unique to that region. Explore vibrant, warming spices and creamy sauces, learn to add acidity with quick pickles and ferments, incorporate crunch and textures, and expand your food horizons! Taste different cultural cuisine you may not be familiar with, as you learn about the importance of food customs from around the world. By the end of the week you will have new kitchen skills, confidence to try new things, an understanding of numerous cultural food traditions, and can bring it all home to create your own dishes to share with friends and family.

Students are required to wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, an apron, and a hat, bandana, or hair net. Aprons and hair nets are provided in class, students may bring a hat if they prefer.
